Shoesies!

Last week I was "Browsing" Forever21.com..."Browsing"...Yea Right!
While there, I came across these Cute Brown Clogs:I got them for HALF their Regular Price! I ordered them Last Thursday and Received them today! I was so excited to see them sitting on the table, when I got home! I eagerly tore through the box and put them on! These little beauties are so Cute [& not so "Little" after all! They come equipped with a 5" Heel and a 1" Platform! Hello 5'7!] While walking around the kitchen I managed to slip twice only to catch myself in an awkward lunge-like pose. AND of course my mother and sister were both there to join in the uprorious laughter! Needless to say, I'll have to break them in, a bit, before allowing them to make their "Public Debut"! I'm pretty excited though, I've been wanting to branch out in the show department and I feel like these and the metallic oxfords, from my last post, are a good start!

Bargain Lady

Hello Friends!
As many of you know I like Bargains!
Especially the 70-90% Off ones!
I can thank my parents for this!
They're both very talented in finding
a "Sweet Deal"
When going shopping I
RARELY
pay the original price.
It's my
"Inner-Bargainista"
So,
Yesterday I went to Michaels to purchase some recipe Cards
[F.Y.I. They sell a pack of 20 for just $1.00]
and while I was there, my sister and I stumbled up on this:

In case my picture isn't doing it justice
(Which it isn't)
It's a 3-tiered Velvet Jewelry Stand.
I've been on the hunt for one of these for almost a year now.
Low and behold.
There she was
Just Beckoning to me:
"Holly, Buy me!'
"Buy Me!"
"I'm only $10.00"
"And I used to be $25.00"
"Buy me!"
And that's exactly what I did.
I got her!
(Assuming my fabulous new Jewelry stand is a female)
for just
TEN WHOLE DOALLRS!
The cashier told me that they'd JUST recieved them in the store THAT day
&
I got the VERY LAST one!
Talk about some
FAVOR!
Here she is all dressed up:

Isn't she beautiful!
Now, as some of you may know
earlier this week I had a Job Interview
(Details to come later).
I don't know about you
But, I personally, just don't feel it's appropriate to wear
Open Toed Shoes to an interview.
I think I read that somewhere...
Anyway, So as I was choosing my outfit for the day,
I started looking at my shoes and discovered something VERY SAD!
I did not own a SINGLE pair
of
Black Close Toed Heels.
I know right!
OUTRAGEOUS!
So, I decided that, today was the day,
I would go on the quest for a nice pair of Black, Close Toed Heels
(Preferably Wedges; I like those better)
& so I set out on my adventure!
First stop
ROSS: Criteria Not Met.
Second Stop
TJ MAXX: Found, However not sure.

Side Note: As I was trying these shoes on, a woman, whom I have never seen or met before,
asked me what size shoe I wore.
So I told her.
Then she asked me if I would try a pair of boots on for her
so she could see if they would fit her daughter
who wears about the same shoe size as I do.
So, I did!
And they were so CUTE!
And thus, we determined if they would fit her daughter or not.
Glad I could lend my "Shoe Wearing Services"
Anyhow. Back to the Black heels!
They met the Criteria
To a "T"
BUT, the woman I tried the boots on for,
told us there was a 70% off sale on the shoes at Dillards.
So we, my friend Brittany and I , decided we'd check there before making the Final Purchase.
Third Stop:
Dillards: Criteria Not Met.
Fourth Stop:
JC Penny:Criteria Not Met.
Fifth Stop:
Kohl's: A Little "Sumthin' Sumthin"
I've been wanting a Pair of Oxfords for quite some time.
And while I was looking through the shoe selection at Kohl's
I came across these adorable
METALLIC OXFORDS!
Who's ever heard of such a thing!

Now, Originally they cost
$34.99
What did I pay for them you ask?
ONLY..
Drum Roll Please..
FOUR DOLLARS.
Yes, you heard me correctly
F-O-U-R DOLLARS!
Needless to say I was/am ecstatic!
Can't wait to bust them out!
And right next to them were these adorable sandals:

I'd seen them back in the summer but, they didn't have my size
Originally they Cost
$34.99 as well
and I only paid
$6.99!
I'm telling you
LOOK FOR BARGAINS PEOPLE!
You'll be surprised at what you can find!
However, I didn't find what I'd originally been searching for
So, the quest continued..
Sixth Stop:
Target: Criteria Not Met
And the Seventh Stop well there was NO Seventh Stop.
Because,
I went Back to TJ MAXX and got these Beauties:

I am so excited.
Not only because they met the Criteria
BUT
because, originally they cost
$85.00
and I only paid
$20.00
for them!
Quite the shopping extravaganza if I do say so myself!
Now, I'm off to watch The Princess and The Frog with my sister!
Do you have any Sweet Bargains
or
Recipe's you'd like to share?
Have a blessed Night!

Shouting From The Rooftops!

God is so Faithful!
AHH!
I could just YELL it from the rooftops.
However, Considering it's 29 Degrees outside and I would risk falling two stories, to do so,
That probably wouldn't be the Most Ingenious Idea I've ever had!
So...
I'll Just SHOUT it out on here!
He has proven Himself time after time.
& He doesn't even have to.
He does it JUST because He loves me
& Cares about me
& Wants me to Succeed!
Isn't that amazing?!
Today was just one of those days
Where God's love was truly emanant!
I felt like He was just giving me a BIG Hug all day long!
Just think about the little things He does for us
Like Painting the sky like this:
Or how about,
Blessing you with friends
Who bless you with sweet little reminders like this:

All in all today was a GREAT day!
I'll have some exciting news to share with you in the coming weeks!
2 Corinthians 13:14 (NKJV)
"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God,
and the communication of the Holy Spirit
be with you all.
Amen"

First Wedding of 2011

I don't know about you
but,
It seems, to me, that EVERYONE
I know is
Getting Married!
Which is SO exciting
for a few reasons:
#1. It's HOLY Matrimony
#2. You get to witness two people, you care about, "Become One"
So to speak.
#3. (And one of my Favorites)
YOU GET TO DANCE!
Side note:
Not all weddings will have a Dance
However, If you are invited to a
"Wedding with a dance to follow"
Then you're in for a treat!
I've been to a few weddings
Anywhere from 8-10
to be exact!
Needless to say,
I've "Danced the night away" A few times!
This past weekend I attended
the wedding of
two sweet friends!
Their wedding was quite the event!
Their ceremony was sweet;
*Her FATHER Married them!
The reception was a BLAST!
The food was great and so was the CAKE!
And then
MY
FAVORITE
PART
(aside from the ceremony of course)
THE
DANCING
First, the Bride and Groom had their First dance
to the song
Then by Brad Paisley
Such a precious song!
Next, the Bride and her Father danced
to the song
Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman
And the Groom and his Mother danced
to a song I've never heard before.
The dances were all so sweet
& there wasn't a dry eye in the house!
(At least not at our table!)
Then Came
THE GUEST'S TURN
to Boogie!
We all FLOODED the floor and took the night away!
Some of the dance moves I saw
included:
The "Washing Machine"
The "Shopping Cart"
The "Robot"
The "Salsa"
The "Twist"
The "Pretzel"
The "Stankey Leg"
Even some Michael Jackson Moves
And MANY, MANY MORE!
We had the time of our lives!

There was also an
Unlimited Photo Booth!
Including Props!
O, The entertainment that provided!
All in all it was quite
the night!
Full of Friends, Fun, and Fellowship!
Congratulations to the newlyweds
who are in
HAWAII!!!!
Do you have any fun Wedding stories?
Or, Perhaps some Dance moves you'd like to contribute?
If so let me know!

Confession

So, Here goes...
I cheated on Yoga today.
AH!
Ok, maybe "Cheated" isn't the right word
Here's what happened;
I'm on day 4 of P90X
It's intense
My body hurts
So I "cheated".
Well, I still did it just not the WHOLE thing.
The video is 1 hour and 30 minutes long.
And I did 80 Minutes worth
So I did the majority!
Doesn't that count?
I just felt like I needed to be honest
with you guys if I'm going to be updating you!
I really have enjoyed it though!
I'm sore
but
I feel good!
If that makes sense!
In other news
One of my dear friends
Sent this video to me
It's such a sweet/cute song!
Hope you enjoy:

New Year

Unless you've been living on a Desert Island
or
possibly in a cave,
and even then,
you're probably aware
that it is now 2011!
So, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!
How exciting and Mind Boggling that is!
With a New Year comes New Resolutions.
I'm always a little hesitant to make them, myself.
I wouldn't want to make goals and not stick with them.
Having said that
I will not be calling this a
New Year Resolution
I'll refer to it as
An Exercise Extravaganza!
Yes, that'll do!
2 Days ago (Monday)
I Started P90X
Let me give you some advice
it's NOT for Wimps!
I repeat NOT for wimps!
However, I'm so ecxited!
If you're not sure what P90X is
it's an intense 90 day work out!
It uses EVERY
and I mean E-V-E-R-Y
Muscle in your body!
The workouts switch up about every 3 weeks or so
and you do the workouts for 12 weeks!
Like I said, I'm only on day 3
So, I'll have to keep you Updated!
Today was Shoulders, Arms and AB Ripper X
The Shoulders and Arms weren't horrible
but, the AB RIPPER X
it's Intense nonetheless!
Are any of you doing P90X or another intense Workout?
If so let me know!
I like to know who else is on the Exercise bandwagon!
